Our Herstory and History line highlights characters around the world who are not only inspirational, but also who have changed the way we understand the world.  From musicians to political leaders, our fun and engaging characters will surely be a great addition to your family.

We understand that some of the content may be considered harsh for child audiences, but we strongly believe that the more children know, the more tolerant, critical, and balanced they will grow up to be.
Oveja Negra wants to bring forth not only the lives of amazing role models from around the world, but also the history that shaped their lives. We created this company to fill in the void in schools’ textbooks. It simply would not be moral for us to write about history without mentioning the good, the bad, and the ugly. Like the philosopher George Satanyana wisely said, “Those who cannot remember the past are doomed to repeat it.” We provide tools for families to engage in conversations and foster children’s curiosity and critical thinking.
